No Electric Razor Works Well
Date of Review: Jul 1, 2008
The Bottom Line: There are better razors out there. Go get one of those.
For a while I used an electric shaver all the time. When my old one broke giving me a scratch right up my leg, I figured it was time to replace it. This is the model that I ended up going with.
This model comes in a box with the razor, instructions and the charger. The charger has no cord but plugs directly into the outlet with the razor sitting on top of it.
The box claims to have a triple blade shaving system which is actually a little misleading. It has a pop up trimmer and another small blade with one big area on the outside of the trimmer. Inside however, it has only one blade. The head comes off easily with the push of two side buttons for either cleaning or replacement of parts. As far as noise level, it is definitely not a quiet razor. It holds a charge fairly well. You could even leave the charger at home for shorter trips, and the razor would work well for a few days. There is also a 30 day quality satisfaction guarantee and a one year limited warranty according to the box. As far as price, this cost only about $20.
As far as usage, I did use this razor several times, but found that it gave me a horrible shave. It was definitely not a close shave. One shouldn't expect a lot from electric razors, but this one is below average. With only one blade on the inside it just can't get close enough. It is easy to clean which is great, but that doesn't redeem it enough for you to buy.
All in all, I wouldn't recommend this razor to you. I would recommend just a regular old razor over ANY electric razor. However, if you must use one, save the $20 that this cost and get something that is a little more expensive. You'd want something that has at least two blades on the inside of the razor. Don't buy this one!
