Pretty good for the price
Date of Review: Dec 10, 2007
The Bottom Line: Very good considering the price and probably does as good a job as ore expensive electric shavers.
My fiance has to take anti-coagulants (commonly referred to as "blood thinners" although that's inaccurate), so she can no longer use a regular razor blade as her blood will not coagulate if she cuts herself.
Panasonic is one of our clients and so we get a discount through them and I know they usually make high quality products. After looking on the website and finding this razor, I read the review here as well as a few other positive reviews on other sites.
The razor works surprisingly well for the price, though she did say it took some getting used to. She had never used an electric razor before, so I am sure that had something to with it. It would pull her hair slightly at first but this could have been due to the fact she had not shaved her legs for about 2 weeks after being in the hospital and then waiting for the razor to be delivered. It does a very good job on the straight areas of the legs and a decent job where there are curves and angles, though that is part of the trick of using the razor. You have to hold it at certain angles depending on the body part being shaved and it works much better. This is all explained in the instructions too.
Now that her skin is more used to the razor, it is much more efficient. This was going to be a temporary one until we could get a better, more expensive one, but we may not need to after all. Also, if the unit breaks at this price it will not be that big of a deal.
The razor is easy to clean as well. The top pops off, you rinse it and let it dry and that's it. It takes about 8 hours to charge and you get quite a few shaves out of it. It can also be used in the shower with gel or cream to make it a little easier and if your skin is not too sensitive, you can use it dry.
