My shaver... a year later.

I got this eletric shaver for christmas 07.  i have had it for a year now.

the thing i love most about this product is the 100% waterproof ability.  i often shave in the shower with gel and it is every bit as close as a razor shave.  i also love how long the batteries last,  easiy twice as long as my norelco's did.  Other good features is the beard and sideburn trimmer,  my hair is VERY thick from living in the northlands for a few years, and the sideburn trimmer makes a great first run on the thicker parts of my beard if i have not shaved for a week +.

the only downside to the product is the self cleaner is not very effective,  i find the blades get more clean if i just shave the bar of soap and let it lather for a minute before rinsing clean.  i have stopped useing the self cleaner completely, and never missed it (it takes 3 hours, and valuable counter space)

This product exceeded my expectations, and a year later i am really glad i did not end up with another Norelco or Braun.  i was relatively unaware of what quality to expect from Panasonic, but i would try them again after my expirience with the Vortex 8077 shaver.
