I recently bought the Panasonic ER411 Nose and Ear Hair Trimmer because I was tired of being self-conscious about my nose hair - and plucking nose hair is NOT an option!
The ER411 is easy to use and very effective. It is well designed with an ergonomic shape that fits the hand and doesn't allow it roll off the counter. It is easy to use: you just place the tip in the nose or ear and let it work. You can hear when it cuts the hair. The cutting mechanism is inside the tip of the unit and never actually comes in contact with the skin. It doesn't pull, but cuts quickly and cleanly. Just be prepared for a little tickling sensation the first time! Using it on my ears was a surprise because I didn't even know I had that much hair there!
The only problem I had with it was that the casing around the blade is made of such a smooth plastic that it is hard to remove for cleaning if the hands of fingers are wet or soapy. Otherwise, it is easy to clean and completely waterproof. If you're particular, you might need a cotton swab to clean and dry the inside.
