Wanted to keep it, pixelation killed it

The Bottom Line: At the end, I reluctantly returned it although I have not found any player that can match its functionality-price ratio.

Review: This player is a great buy for the price -- or so I thought. The picture quality is great (component video), sound is great (Optical output) and I had previous had a Panasonic DVD player that lasted for over 4 years (one of the first ones).

Very Bad - H05, H02 error code - do not buy.

It worked Ok, until now.
I tried playing a vCD but it did not work.
The same vcd plays fine on my computer dvd player.

Review: The actual problem is that the spindle-motor stopped turning, thus the laser cannot read the initializing track of a disk to determine that a valid disk is indeed present. Hence, H02 and finally No Disk.

The Bottom Line: Only get this player if you're willing to buy another one after a year. If you are, then enjoy the great picture sound quality while it lasts.

Love it for the extras beyond DVD playback

The Bottom Line: If mp3 playback is a feature you need (with shuffle and playlist support) and JPEG support as a bonus, well this is the ticket to your salvation!

Review: Worked great while it lasted, but after less than a year the thing died. I googled the error code I was getting, "H02", and found it to be a rampant problem. Avoid this player for your own good.
