Panasonic DVD-LS5 rocks.

I bought this great portable dvd player from Circuit City for $220 after rebate (May/04). It is a far superior player to the "generic" brands. Had a Polaroid before but returned it.

The picture is very clear and allows different sizes. The zoom's picture is not that clear despite the slightly larger picture. The sound is mono but still loud and clear enough to hear without too much distortion. The screen can pivot which is very handy. The 5" screen is smaller than most players but it does not make much difference.

The battery included is sufficient for a 2 hour movie. It will be expensive to replace with oem. Attaching it will increase the size slightly.

A great feature is the ability to play mp3s. The screen will show all the folders and songs. It is very user friendly to find a song. One CD is all you need.

The controls (monitor, bright, color) is very easy to use. The remote control has more functions than the player controls (typical). The unit is very easy to use and easy to configure.

Plays my back-up dvds flawlessly.

Super unit at a super price.
