A worthy update to the DMR-ES40V??

Date of Review:  May 29, 2006
The Bottom Line: The DMR-ES35V meets my needs and has been trouble-free so far. That's all I can ask, especially given my past experience with DVD recorders.
Review: In my quest for the ultimate DVD recorder, I ve gone through a couple different models. Will the DMR-ES35V meet your needs? Is it an improvement on previous Panasonic models? Let s start with some basics on DVD recording.

I love this unit!

Date of Review:  Sep 17, 2006
The Bottom Line: What more can you expect for the price?
Review: My first experience with a stand-alone DVD recorder. After a lot of research, I picked this unit and have not been disappointed.

Great for basic VHS-to-DVD conversion

Date of Review:  Jan 6, 2007
The Bottom Line: If you want a moderately priced standalone unit of decent quality to copy VHS tapes to DVD, I highly recommend this unit.
Review: I have a bunch of family video VHS tapes recorded between 1988 and 1995 that I wanted to move to DVD before they deteriorated or before VHS recorders became impossible to find.

I decided to get a combined VHS/DVD recorder unit because I...

Quirky but good overall

Date of Review:  Apr 12, 2007
The Bottom Line: We are really happy with this unit. If this unit is an indication on any newer units, I would buy Panasonic again.
Review: I bought this unit at a discount on E-bay since I already had another unit but wanted two. I needed to "time-shift" TV shows and transfer old VHS home movies to DVD.

It works very well for these purposes and in fact I like it better than...
