Pros: Incredible imagery and features for the price.
Cons: Non-interchangeable lens, zoom control is nice, but not professionally smooth.
The Bottom Line: The AG-DVX100 looks good in natural light, comes to life in standard lighting setups and loves it when you push the lighting more towards that used with film.
Review: As a professional cinematographer/cameraman for the last 19 years, I've extensively shot every film and video format from 16mm and 35mm to BetaCam and High-Definition 24p. I could not believe how well the footage I shot with the Panasonic AG-DVX100...

Pros: Broadcast Quality, Progressive modes, Easy to use, Many features
Cons: Microphone pick-up is not great
The Bottom Line: The AG-DVX100 is a great buy, for both experienced and inexperienced videographers and filmmakers. This is the pinnacle 3CCD pro-sumer camera and will never let you down.

Pros: Color quality. Resolution, "ease" of use, FULL control of everything.
Cons: optimal quality 16:9 requires a $800 anamorphic adapter.
The Bottom Line: Absolutly reccomend, maximum quality image for the dollar, and its very small and light compared to its competitor.
Review: This camera is simply a technologic master piece. It offers the best resolution and some of the most beautiful images ive ever seen come from a digital video source under $10,000. However what makes this camera special is its 24P capability. other ...

Pros: Focus/Zoom controls via remote, 24P frame rate(Movie Like), Beefy construction, Cost, Many 3rd party upgrades
Cons: Not HD, no removable/upgradable lenses, only a few frame rates,
The Bottom Line: If you want to break into the market, or just make family movies more interesting, this is your camera!
Review: The Panasonic DVX100 has been the workhorse of many video productions for almost 5 years now. With it's innovative 24P Cinema like qualities and it's ability to look and sound just like a multi-million dollar movie, this camera is what video producers ...

Pros: 24p,30p & 60i shooting modes, Markable Focus and Zoom, Excellent Picture Control
Cons: Not native 16:9 CCD, No Interchangable Lenses
The Bottom Line: If you are looking to replicated the motion of film or just despise the look of raw interlaced video, this camera is for you.
Review: Panasonic's latest effort in the Prosumer MiniDV camcorder range is the AG-DVX100 (soon to be replaced by the upgraded DVX100A), is nothing short of a milestone for low to zero budget filmmakers. While many cameras boast the same features, the DVX100 ...

Pros: Both 25p and 50i mode available. Easy standalone and multicamera use. Affordable pricing.
Cons: No variable framerate for slowmotion stuff like AG-HVX200.
Review: I use two of these cameras in my company www.040-itv.nl for all TV and DVD productions. Using both 50i and 25p depending on the desired effect. Motion, resolution and brightness differ depending on the selected mode. I also use the wide angle conversion ...

Pros: Outstanding picture quality and audio and controls
Cons: Too costly for hobbyists (but cheap for professionals!).
Review: This camera was just used (March, 2005) to shoot Conquest of America on the History Channel. It is used now on several cable network shows and TV commercials. It can shoot like traditional video, or set to look like it was shot on film. I bought it for ...

Pros: Lens, viewfinder, XLR inputs, White-balance, Film-look, 24P, filters, Focus
Cons: Auto-focus/sometimes the manual focus is not switchable. (Could be a menu thing)
Review: This is the best hand held camera in the world When you compare the color saturation with any other DV 1/3 3CCD camera in this price class this camera does the best. Even if the low light situation is not the best of all, it still is perfect enough. I ...
