Digital Breakthrough

Date of Review:  Jan 22, 2003
The Bottom Line: The AG-DVX100 looks good in natural light, comes to life in standard lighting setups and loves it when you push the lighting more towards that used with film.
Review: As a professional cinematographer/cameraman for the last 19 years, I've extensively shot every film and video format from 16mm and 35mm to BetaCam and High-Definition 24p. I could not believe how well the footage I shot with the Panasonic AG-DVX100...

The Indy Workhorse...

Date of Review:  Jan 16, 2007
The Bottom Line: If you want to break into the market, or just make family movies more interesting, this is your camera!
Review: The Panasonic DVX100 has been the workhorse of many video productions for almost 5 years now. With it's innovative 24P Cinema like qualities and it's ability to look and sound just like a multi-million dollar movie, this camera is what video...

THE BEST Video Camera in Price Range

Date of Review:  Jun 17, 2003
The Bottom Line: The AG-DVX100 is a great buy, for both experienced and inexperienced videographers and filmmakers. This is the pinnacle 3CCD pro-sumer camera and will never let you down.
Review: Let me start off by getting something off my chest: This camera blows all competitors away. That includes (but is not limited to) Canon's flashy XL1S and Sony's proven classic the PD150. The AG-DVX100 is, without a doubt, the best camera you can buy...

Pinnacle

Date of Review:  Dec 8, 2004
The Bottom Line: Absolutly reccomend, maximum quality image for the dollar, and its very small and light compared to its competitor.
Review: This camera is simply a technologic master piece. It offers the best resolution and some of the most beautiful images ive ever seen come from a digital video source under $10,000. However what makes this camera special is its 24P capability. other...

This is a great camera. The 25p mode is extremely useful for professionals.

Date of Review:  Jan 26, 2007
Review: I use two of these cameras in my company www.040-itv.nl for all TV and DVD productions. Using both 50i and 25p depending on the desired effect. Motion, resolution and brightness differ depending on the selected mode. I also use the wide angle...

Flip a Switch, Make a Movie - Indeed.

Date of Review:  Dec 27, 2003
The Bottom Line: If you are looking to replicated the motion of film or just despise the look of raw interlaced video, this camera is for you.
Review: Panasonic's latest effort in the Prosumer MiniDV camcorder range is the AG-DVX100 (soon to be replaced by the upgraded DVX100A), is nothing short of a milestone for low to zero budget filmmakers. While many cameras boast the same features, the...

Panasonic DVX100 - not to shabby!

Date of Review:  May 10, 2003
The Bottom Line: Why not, it is a decent camera and saves rendering time! I think you can make a good indie film with this cam and be very happy.
Review: This is a very good indie cam or B roll cam. You get that cinema gamma look right out of the box so that should save you some bucks and rendering time using those cinelook plugins. That alone should make you want this camera.

Under low...

Panasonic DVX100

Date of Review:  Feb 10, 2005
Review: This is the best hand held camera in the world
When you compare the color saturation with any other DV 1/3 3CCD camera in this price class this camera does the best. Even if the low light situation is not the best of all, it still is perfect...
