This palm has some great features for a beginning palm owner that wants to keep their life organized. It comes with OS 3.5, which has included the basic schedule, address, and to-do applications, and this palm, unlike the m100, has 8 MB of RAM which gives most people plenty of space to put many more programs on to further expand the use of the palm. The m105 also comes with a docking cradle, which lets you syncronize your desktop and palm in a push of one button. The palm will syncronize to any major PIM (such as Microsoft Outlook) or the Palm Desktop with is included. Software that comes with this palm is the Mobile Internet Kit (which proves useless unless you have a cellular phone or palm modem that you can hook it up to), AOL (again, you need a cellular phone), and AvantGo -- This program allows you to download websites to your palm during a regular sync, so you don't need a cell phone. (Go to avantgo.com to find out more about this program).
The cons about this product are near to none when you compare the price of this palm to other palms on the market. The largest drawback that I think of is the reduced screen size, however the text is still clearly visible in sunlight, but takes a little more effort to read in darkness. Another con is that the OS is not upgradable with this palm, however OS 3.5 is very stable and includes many features, so upgrading I don't think is a problem for most. One other drawback is that many of the included software needs a cell phone or palm modem to use. For most people, that means spending more money, which most can't afford to do. However, I did find a program which allows you to use the internet connection of your desktop and access it with your palm while in the cradle. Only problem about that is you're now 'wired' to your computer and can't move around, nor can you access these sites away from your computer.
Overall, I feel that if you're looking for an entry level palm that will help you organize your life and still provide room to grow and have some fun on it as well, the m105 is the best way to go. It provides all the necessary tools to get you up and running in no time and the user interface is simple and easy to learn. I would recommend to this palm to everyone.
