Product Review

Impressive Unit - fun to play with!

by   rdhfn ,   Jan 30, 2004

Pros:  Full features. Nice size and feel. Nice stylus. Documents to go works well.

Cons:  Need a better mp3 player - a freeware version. Real Player has no equalizer option.

The Bottom Line:  Good solid PDA with many features that are lacking on even the new units coming out. I recommend this unit for serious consideration when you're comparing your options.

Overall Rating: 4/5 stars

Author's Review

I must admit I was skeptical at first moving from a PocketPc to Palm OS, but I am impressed. My biggest worries were being able to use Excel and Word. PocketPC brags about being able to do this fairly seamlessly, but from what I've experienced in the past few weeks "Documents to Go" is just as seamless.

I like the T2's screen. It is bright and clear and fonts are readable even in the smallest format.

Graffiti works well - recognizes my handwriting and I didn't have to learn the palm method of inputting characters.Takes awhile to learn how to input special characters. I like being able to write on the screen when I haven't opened the slider. The stylus is easy on the screen and I haven't left any scratches yet.

I sync without problems to Outlook 2002, hotsync without problems to my XP Pro desktop. Soon I will be attempting a Blue tooth pass through connection to the internet using a USB Bluetooth Adapter (Linksys or Belkin) Cool! I also had no problem inserting a memory card and loading it with mp3s. The stereo headphone capabilities are nice. (still trying to figure out why they left them off the Tungsten C!)

Shop around for the best deal - got mine for $239.00 new.
