Good Phone but not for me
Date of Review: Feb 19, 2008
The Bottom Line: I personally would not buy another Treo due it's size and the fact that the touch screen damages easily.
I friend of mine at work bought a Palm Treo 650 and instantly I fell in love with the phone and had to go get one also. I did like the touch screen technology, which is a great feature allowing one to use a pen-like tool called a stylus to navigate through the phone and make selections on the web browser. This stylus is kept conveniently in the top of the phone. The TREO 650 also has a large memory and can be expanded with an SD card at a small price. I did not like the fact that the phone was very bulky and the ringer was not very loud but did take some very clear pictures and videos. When paired with a Motorola H350 I could talk hands free just fine but after several minutes, after hanging up, the ear piece would disconnect and shut off since the bluetooth had disconnected. This wasn't Palm's fault but was very inconvenient for me and have never had this problem with any other phone. The battery also did not last long. After a month I dropped the phone in a parking lot and the screen cracked and was totally unreadable. I wasn't mad because I was really wanting something else at the time. This phone really changed my mind about PDA's and have looked at several others but I don't think I will never buy another PDA. Invested in a laptop, where I could at least get Wi-Fi, which the Palm 650 does not use. The included USB cable and computer program was good for backing the phone up or transferring data to a computer, but this feature is available on most phones now.
