Old Friend

by   lawman67 , top reviewer in Computer Hardware at Epinions.com ,  Oct 15, 2003
Pros: VERY CHEAP used, very functional even in 2003, a classic
Cons: Looks as cheap as it has become.
The Bottom Line: If looking trendy isn't important, an older Palm III-series PDA just may be your best option.
Review: I've owned a lot of PDAs over the years, from my first Everex Freestyle WInCE unit (hated it) in 1998 or so, to the iPaq 2215 I recently bought, and then returned, I've simply lost count. From getting rid of that first Everex until last June when I bou ...

Good Choice - Good Price

by   RichBoston ,  Sep 14, 2000
Pros: Palm OS, Price, 4MB Memory, Upgradeable
Cons: Monochrome Screen, Heavy Users May Need 8MB of Memory
Review: This is not a new Palm but still one of the best available. It is also a relative bargain nowadays if you shop for it. I did a simple internet search on one of the shopping sites and found prices ranging from $200 to $300.

While there are...

Ditch the Post-Its, get a Palm

by   gerper ,  Apr 9, 2000
Pros: Easy to use with lots of features, very portable
Cons: None
Review: It used to be, that when you would mention organizers, Filofaxes and Day Runners would come to mind. Now that we are in the digital and high tech day and age, the "old" paper organizers are out and electronic organizers, known as person data...

Wonderful PDA, simply the Best

by   nowshining ,  Jul 23, 2006
Pros: Enough Memory, OS upgradeable, All around good structure.
Cons: Memory and slow MHZ to begin with.
The Bottom Line: I will recommend buying this PDA because you can buy it on ebay cheap :)
Review: This is simply the best pda out there. Let me start by saying that this was my very first PDA about four-five years ago when my father brought it home from the BHC center where I live (a homeless center where he works) and I loved it since (it ...

Simple yet Versatile

by   kaiZ ,  Oct 16, 2000
Pros: Simple, Small, and Fun!
Cons: Getting used to not reaching for paper and pen
Review: I purchased the Palm IIIx earlier this year, because I wanted some way to store all my little pieces of information in one place. To tell you the truth, I also wanted a little gadget to play with. So far it has met both of these needs. Anyone who needs...

I can't live without it.

by   lunardaisy ,  May 25, 2000
Pros: Addictive, flexible, durable, easy to use
Cons: Eats batteries for breakfast, lunch, and dinner
Review: My company standardizes everything, and all of our PDA's are Palms. We've got about 150 people of varying technological skill levels using them on a regular basis, synching them daily with our MS Exchange. Miraculously, we rarely have to make a support...

Better than some of its brothers

by   Tuxedo_Kamen ,  Jul 15, 2001
Pros: 4 MB of memory, durable, disposable batteries
Cons: Not quite as stylish looking as other models and a bit thick
The Bottom Line: If you need help remembering things like phone numbers, addresses, and appointments, it beats a paper planner.
Review: I waited quite a while to write this Epinion. The reasons being is that every product has a honey-moon period (where opinions can be skewed) and then the rest of its life (where reality lies).

Why I have a Palm IIIx

Great little guy

by   wirm ,  Mar 2, 2000
Pros: Easeability
Cons: No usb
Review: This Palm is much like the rest of the Palm family but has the most memory available (that I know of). My Father bought one this last month and he was able to get it up and running in a matter of moments. This is from a guy who is very tech challenged......

THE REAL DEAL

by   kiko ,  Nov 23, 1999
Pros: Simple to use ;sleek; same OS as V
Cons: Can upgrade to V but with higher costs
Review: I bought the PalmIIIx specifically as an organizer but it has turned into much more than that. Of course, there are the basic functions that are installed on the Palm OS:Address book, Date Book, Notepad, Calc...etc.
But these are pretty basic.

My memory.

by   Riken ,  Dec 18, 2000
Pros: Fast, small and mobile.
Cons: IPeople always want to play with it.
Review: I have had the Palm IIIx for almost a year. My wife bought it for me for Christmas last year. I told her I wanted an electronic organizer just to keep phone numbers and small notes. The Palm has become much more to me than an electronic phonebook. It is...
