Author's Review
Before I purchased this device, I visited virtually every review page out there on the product. Now I have purchased it , and to tell you the truth, I Love It. I read the poor reviews that people have given it, and am happy to say most of these problems are non-existent. The phone's battery is one the (very) few drawbacks, which can be easily solved by buying a -50$ extra batter, which can be charged simultaneously in the cradle with the PDA. I have gone and loaded just about every piece of software on it, there are a plethora of software packages out there to fool around with.
On the hardware side, this device is one of the most integrated out there. With one drawback, WiFi connectivity, which can be solved easily using the SDIO slot on the top, for a WiFi SDIO card (sub 100$). The screen is brilliant, and forget what people have said about this thing being quiet, I own an iRiver PMP, (portable multimedia center), and I thought that was fairly loud, when i crank this thing up music is so loud you would be surprised it isnt coming out of a stereo!!! Im very serious.
So, if you want a Phone GPS Full Pocket PC functionality (ie. video/audio, Word, Excel, MSN Messenger, Remote Desktop) a great camera/video control with 4X zoom, and a QWERTY keyboard, there is nowhere else you need to look. Also, with the right service provider, Broadband Internet in the palm of your hand (550-600 Kbps) - Relative to half the speed of your typical Home/Home office broadband connection.
