Not the best but decent for the price

Date of Review: Dec 31, 2007

I got the ATC2K for Christmas. Mounted it to my helmet and went off-road bike riding to try it out. The camera works great, but there are some limitations. The video lacks the stabilization that you would expect with most video cameras. You can view my YouTube video here:

As you can see, the video is very shaky. Yes, I am off-road, but this is supposed to be an action Cam. Also, because there is no viewfinder, it takes some trial and error to get the angle right. I intend to make a few adjustments and try again.

I don't think its realistic to expect "Sony" quality from this device. Its a self-contained video camera for less than $150 and gets the job done. Its also waterproof, so I plan to take it kayaking to see if I can film a gator underwater. All in all, I give this camera a 5 out of 10 for quality, but a 9 out of 10 when you factor in the low price.

Pros
Easy to use, compact, inexpensive.
Cons
Shaky video, but not surprising for the price.
