Can't beat at this price

The Bottom Line: This thing will make friends that spent thousands cry and go home.
Just replaced my DOA Toshiba TDP-T90 (their customer service is horrid)with the HD70. Was originally worried about the lower lumens (1000 vs 2000 with the toshiba). Can't say I can even tell in most lighting conditions. Have this in fairly large room (for the city at least) 22x25.
First impression, out of the box the set-up is much more user friendly than most. The remote and menu both are pretty intuitive. The digital keystone and digital masking are great. Bought it knowing I had a 30 day no hassle return, it will not be going back.
I first had the unit hooked up to a progressive scan DVD player with a monster cable S-VHS...thought that was great.
Then upgraded to an upconvert DVD player with HDMI cable...HOLY S#IT!!! You can actually figure out what kind of fabric actors are wearing (my screen is roughly 103" diagonal, depending on set up). Lord of the Rings (the last one) you can pick out individual fibers, Liv Tylers hood looks like velvet (insert any needed joke here). On any PIXAR film, you will see detail you can't imagine)
I haven't seen a plasma that can keep up with this, unless you look at the upper tier (RUNCO, etc...) For under a grand, nothing can beat this thing.
If you need a long run of HDMI cable, shop Ebay, chain stores are asking up to $300 for 35' cable. I bought quality/low gauge/gold plated HDMI cable (30') for $60 on EBAY.
I can't recommend this thing high enough, have hundreds of hours and about 6-8K in my set-up, would have spent more if needed, but there was no need.
