Undeniable Superiority

Date of Review:  Dec 17, 2004
The Bottom Line: For the price, there is no other 6.1 or 5.1 receiver you should consider. Onkyo has the competition beat in terms of usability, durability, and performance quality.

It does however, decode every other format currently available aside from the obscure Logic7...

You can't go wrong...

Date of Review:  Jul 5, 2005
Review: You simply can't go wrong with Onkyo's TX-SR502. I've owned mine for 8 months and have not experienced any problems or glitches along the way. I've read reviews from some who feel the controls are somewhat hard to use. In truth, the controls aren't...

Great sounding receiver

Date of Review:  Apr 4, 2005
Review: I'll have to start with my gripes... The remote is sized for Frankenstein or Yao Ming. It makes my other remotes feel inadequate.

Whoever designed the speaker terminals must have had a really messy desk as they are poorly placed and really...

Great Surround Sound Receiver

Date of Review:  Sep 8, 2004
The Bottom Line: Great design, easy to operate, sounds great, plenty of clean power, affordable cost. Good for home theater AND music.
Review: Onkyo means "sound" in Japanese. It means great sound to your ears. I like Onkyo because I've never had a bad receiver. I am upgrading my old one because it lacked onboard digital decoders. Now that I am buying newer DVD players that lack onboard...
