Took a great picture 5 minutes after buying
Pros:
Built in lens cover, adequate internal memory, no brain operation.
Cons:
No viewfinder, no manual mode, no movie sound.
The Bottom Line:
Recommended highly for simplicity, picture quality, speed and compact size.

I'm not going to get into the details and specs of this camera, you can find them at the company website.
This is my third Olympus digital camera and definitely is what I was looking for - a low-priced camera to carry everywhere that would point and shoot in seconds without having to check a bunch of settings first.
Purchased for $149.99 at Circuit City, I walked out of the store, loaded the batteries (included), the 16mb xD card (included), and took a picture. Never looked at the manual!
I happened to have my laptop with me and plugged in the USB cable (included). Windows 2000 plug and play recognized the camera as a removable drive and I copied the pictures to the Desktop, still standing in front of the store.
Time to boot - 2.5 sec.
Time to focus and shoot - 2 sec.
Time to save picture to internal memory - 4 sec.
So about 5 seconds from pocket to first shot, or 9 seconds from pocket to ready for second shot.
File size in HQ mode - 1.08mb, 23 pictures with internal memory. (2560 x 1920)
File size in SHQ mode - 3.1mb, 7 pictures with internal memory. (also 2560 x 1920)
Also has 1600 x 1200 - 43 pictures and 640 x 480 - 179 pictures.
You actually get less pictures with the 16mb xD card that comes with the camera as the internal memory isn't used when a card is in. So I'll probably buy a 512 or 1 gig card.
The pictures came out sharp and perfectly exposed, slight red eye at 6 feet but less than other cameras I've owned. I had two friends with me who have never used a digital camera and they were quite impressed with the results.
I'm not sure of the battery life yet, but as with all digital cameras it's wise to keep a spare set handy so you won't miss that once-in-a-lifetime shot. Get some rechargeables.
For the price, this camera is a good value.
