Disappointment: The ?D? in Olympus?s D-390

Date of Review:  May 13, 2004
The Bottom Line: Eh. It works, takes decent photos and can be thrown in a pocket or neon fanny pack. But it's frustratingly slow.
Review: Now, I don't know about you, but when someone mentions spring break Panama City and / or N'Awlins, there's only one thing I think of: censored. So, in attempt to dutifully fulfill my masculine responsibilities on a recent spring break trip to both...

Great beginner Camera, Perfect for online photos

Date of Review:  Apr 16, 2004
The Bottom Line: Its a good buy for the beginner, but you will find its limitations very quickly. Consider your intended purposes when buying.
Review: The D-390 is the first digital camera I have owned, and I ended up with it because the price was right. Can't beat $60, and it even has traveled to Antarctica!

This camera is without a doubt a very easy to use piece, it features a simple...

Nice Camera, Nice Price!

Date of Review:  Jun 9, 2003
The Bottom Line: If you are looking for a decent-priced digital camera, this is it. It has its quirks, but all-in-all it takes nice pictures and is easy-to-use.
Review: I picked this camera up at Target in Minneapolis, mostly because it was on sale. Not having any digital camera experience, I wanted something that wasn't too button heavy or required a degree in photography to operate. So far I can say that I...

Good camera

Date of Review:  Apr 14, 2005
Review: This camera was given to me as a gift, and has served well. It takes good pictures once you learn how to use it. For those complaining about battery usage - please read your owner's manual. This camera will eat akaline batteries fast, BUT, if you...

Easy to Use + Good Pictures

Review: If you want an easy to use digital camera that won't cost a small fortune and takes quality still pictures, check out the Olympus D-390. This is my second digital in the past 2 years and I use it specifically to to photograph my acrylic paintings...

A simple, easy all purpose camera.

Date of Review:  Nov 19, 2004
The Bottom Line: Obviously better cameras exist. But, if you want digital and dont want something pricey, this is it.
Review: I've had my D-390 for about a year now and I can say I'm fairly satisfied with it. Honestly, I have no need for some high tech 4.0 MP, $500 digital camera. All I wanted was something cheap, easy and took good pictures. Thats exactly what I got.

Solid all-around performance in a budget digital camera.

Date of Review:  Dec 25, 2003
The Bottom Line: The D-390 performs admirably for such an affordable device. If you want an inexpensive digital camera, you should certainly include the D-390 in your considerations.
Review: This is the third digital camera I've owned in the last five years. I was pleasantly surprised by the D-390's consistent picture quality and ease of use. I take a wide variety of photographs (indoor, outdoor, close-up, landscape, etc.) and all of...

It'll suffice if you can't afford something better, but I recommend against this camera

Date of Review:  Apr 30, 2005
The Bottom Line: This camera is slow and frustrating to use. Don't waste your money.
Review: This is the second digital camera I've had. The first was a Fuji Finepix, which was stolen, so I didn't have it long enough to give a real review on it. I received the Olympus Camedia D-390 as a gift after graduating high school (two years ago)...

Breaks too easily

Date of Review:  May 14, 2004
Review: I bought one of these D-390 cameras in January. In February, it stopped working. As it was bought in another country, there was no warranty coverage, and it will cost half the price of the camera to fix it.
The tech assist team was terrible. I...
