Pros:
Good clarity, light weight, 5 megapixels, silent video, good starter digital camera
Cons:
Needs more zoom, better battery, more memory, and has annoying shutter lag
The Bottom Line:
It's an ok camera. It's not amazing. I don't know that I would get it again if I had the choice but I'm enjoying using it anyway.

I'm an amateur. I had no idea what I really wanted in a digital camera when I decided I wanted one. I wanted to take pictures of my children and have the ability to edit and discard any pictures without paying for them.
I found that though this camera isn't that hard to learn how to use it takes time and effort to figure everything out. We got it for Christmas and I still have no idea if I can even turn off the flash. It's comfortable to hold. Not big and bulky at all. Very light weight and fits right in your hand.
The clarity of the pictures are excellent for my use but I wish this camera had more zoom. It currently only has 3x optical zoom. That's just not enough for getting good pictures. My film camera has a better zoom on it. It does have a variety of different image functions. I prefer the "in motion" setting since I mostly take candids of my children. The clarity in that function is much better than I expected. I love the ability to take a 32 second silent film too! The shutter speed is ok unless your taking pictures consecutively. In that case there is a more significant lag. The battery could be better too. I was happy it came with a charger. We were sure to get extra battery and more memory when we purchased the camera and it's really come in handy. The memory that comes with the camera can be used in a matter of minutes. I would definitely suggest getting more in addition to the camera if nothing else.
