5 mega pixel may sound good but picture quality is poor

I've owned an Olympus 3000z for several years and loved the picture quality and features. When I thought about upgrading I considered several 5 mega pixel cameras and figured that the newest from the Olympus line up would be a great option. What I liked about this camera is that it uses the micro sized xD memory that I never need to remove from the camera. I also like the tiny lithium ion battery that comes with a charger and holds a charge for a long time even when using the flash and lcd screen.
