Great for our band!

I got this for use with my band in our practice space, to capture ideas and critique our work. We'd been lugging a laptop for the same purpose. My bandmates were skeptical that this could suffice. We plugged our mixer into the 310's microphone input and set the levels using the nice level meters on the 310. Once we got the levels right, the recorded sound was amazing! (Use the "dict" sensitivity setting.)

We like the fact that it records individual WMA files with each start/stop. We no longer need to edit in another program after practice. It's easy to transfer the files to hard disk using the USB port and just upload them directly to our shared web site for listening between practices using. The files work just fine with Windows Media Player.

My only worry is that the buttons and case feel a little lightweight. I made a case for it for protection.

Overall a really good value.
