Pros: Adjustable recording quality, built in microphone, works good for the beginning accordionist.
Cons: You have to erase things you don't want manually.
Review: this recorder was a stuffing stuffer for Christmas. My mom purchased it because I needed something to record myself playing Accordion, because I am a beginner at the Accordion, and it helps if you review recent songs played by recording them. It has ...

Pros: Light, easy to use, large storage time.
Cons: Doesn't stamp the time on recorded notes.
Review: I've been using a tape system for the past decade or so and finally made the jump to digital. I bought the VN-120 expecting it to be MAYBE as good as the tape system - Instead I've found that it's VASTLY superior. Easy to use, very tiny, very ...

Pros: Well-balanced features and an excellent early market entry by Olympus.
Cons: Not suitable for music at all, some poor features, annoyingly turns on by itself.
The Bottom Line: A durable, carefree and inexpensive entry-level digital recorder with acceptable voice quality. Turn it on and it works as expected, (no 90-page CD manual needed).
Review: The VN-120 is a handy recorder that suffices for everyday use. I purchased it solely to test the features as it was the first digital recorder I located that offered more than one hour of time at less than $40. I like the recorder although it has a ...

Pros: Easy to use, functional, portable, durable, good battery life
Cons: Limited Memory, external mic & earphone sold separately,
The Bottom Line: Great "entry Level" digital recorder for personal use. If it suits your needs it can save you a lot of money compared to other digital recorders.
Review: Olympus has done a great job of manufacturing a very handy "entry level" digital voice recorder for personal use. I purchased my VN-120 at Best Buy for $39.99 in January of 2005 and have used it numerous times, and for various purposes. The VN-120 ...

Pros: Small, works well.
Cons: PC version doesn't work with Mac
Review: This recorder is undoubtedly quite nice. However, if you buy the PC version (VN-120PC) and try to use it with a Macintosh, be aware that I haven't been able to get it to work. The device is visible using the System Profiler, however it doesn't ...
