Little camera that could...

Date of Review:  Dec 7, 2000
Review: I borrowed this tiny camera for a weekend from my brother so that I wouldn't carry a big SLR around. I didn't really care about a superb quality, just needed to shoot something easy. It was quite a surprise when I developed the pictures, a tiny...

My preferred camera!

Date of Review:  Jul 16, 2001
The Bottom Line: A sharp wide-angle lens would be a good addition to any photographer's arsenal and this camera very nicely fills those requirements at an excellent price-point.
Review: It's been said that a serious photographer must never be without a camera; just in case that once-in-a-lifetime shot should come along. For those moments, and all the moments of your life, the Olympus Stylus Epic will probably become your little...

Olympus Stylus Epic Zoom 80

Date of Review:  Dec 1, 2000
Review: I needed a new point-and-shoot to replace my trusty old Olympus of five years (I'm embarrassed to say that I'd dropped it one too many times...it still works, but these are memories I'm taking, and I don't want to be caught off guard one day...), so...

Amazingly tiny 35mm camera with a great lens

Date of Review:  Sep 20, 2000
Review: From time to time manufacturers get the "magic formula" of a given type item just right, resulting in a product that's priced right, has all the features you want and none of the gimmicks to get in the way, is a joy to use, and produces excellent...

Olympus Stylus Epic....you can get it wet!!!

Date of Review:  Jan 27, 2001
The Bottom Line: It produces good pictures and is weatherproof.
Review: The Olympus Stylus Epic is one of the best point-and-shoot designs of all time. However, it just got a lot better. Epic added a faster lens, faster shutter, trick metering, and more.

The Simple-operating Stylus has controls for self-timer,...

Inexpensive little camera

Review: Stylin' with the Stylus...

I was first introduced to Olympus as a camera company a bunch of years ago. My sister's venerable Kodak DISC camera had had it, and she was looking for something compact, automatic, and trouble free. A friend of...

Great for a First Timer!

Date of Review:  Feb 6, 2000
Review: Before I bought my huge mamba-jamba Olympus, I had this little compact Stylus Epic. It was lightweight, inexpensive, easy to use, and, as an added bonus, took nice pictures. No zoom meant that I had to use my legs to get in closer for the close-up...

Review: Our old Nikon point-and-click suddenly died on us after 5 years of regular use, so we went shopping for a new camera at London Drugs.

We wanted a small camera, for the economical 35mm standard format, without fancy zoom lenses to go wrong,...

Best little camera, no matter what the Minox nuts say

Date of Review:  Nov 5, 2002
The Bottom Line: A true pocket camera with amazing capabilities, given size, weight, and price.
Review: A quick run-down of why I love this camera:

? F/2.8 maximum aperture
? Shutter speeds: 1/1000 to 4 seconds
? 400 focusing steps mean sharp pictures from 14" to infinity
? focus and exposure lock for off-center subjects
...
