Author's Review

I bought this camera at Future Shop in Canada. I purchased it in August of 2006. At the end of November 2006 I encountered a major issue with the camera. The camera had never been dropped, gotten wet or been misused or damaged in any way.
One day I turned the camera on to take pictures of my 7 month old twins and when I turned it on the lens began going "in and out" by itself. Appeared to be focusing in and out. I was unable to stop it and it did this for 25 seconds, focused back in and an blue screen appeared on the back LCD display screen with an error message reading S: e902e3
I contacted the Olympus toll free 1-800 number and was given no help. They emailed me the forms and address to send the camera in to be repaired.
The camera is to be shipped for repairs under the 1 year warranty at MY cost. Which I dont believe is fair as it is a defect in the product.
