Wanna feel like a spy for alot less?

I bought this dandy little gizmo for my husband's anniversary gift. He works in landscaping and frequently needs to take notes while he works. Since it is small he can stick it in his pocket and I don't have to remove muddy little scraps of paper with little landscape notes on them before doing the laundry.
Testing it out
Like all new electronics we looked over the user booklet that it came with, that I found quite easy to understand. The playback was actually better than I had thought it would be, even when it's held several feet from the speaker while recording.
Ok..now for the spy stuff..voice activated recording
My husband went out to get food and I decided to attempt to tape record our baby as a suprise for 'daddy' the next day. If you have EVER tried to tape record a child you know that as soon as it starts taping, they stop making noise of any kind, and you end up with several minutes of dead air. Well this is where the spy stuff comes in, I switched it to voice activation mode, and at every little noise it recorded! No pressing record over and over. It was wonderful! And the playback on that, though a little delayed on start and stop, was very nice.
How did it hold up?
Well, Hubby doesn't wash his hands alot on the job, so it gets caked with mud almost everyday, and gets handled roughly and tossed about in the trucks everyday, and it still works fine! I am amazed!
I'd say it's alot more durable for a recorder this size and price range than I thought it would be.
I'd buy another one, But I don't think I'll have to!
It comes with 3 blank cassettes so you don't have to go out and buy them right away, and get this, the batteries..were included!!!!
The only thing that would make this recorder any better would be if it came with a leather case:) But you can't have it all for 30 bucks! But this comes close!
