Guess I'm not a gel man

Let me start by saying why I got this stick of deodorant. Growing up, my dad always used original Old Spice without antiperspirant. Obviously, when it came time to enter the world of underarm scent-enhancement, I followed his lead. I'm pleased to say the original did the job quite well for a number of years.

Then I got married. My wife didn't dig the smell too much, so I made a switch...until I forgot to swipe the pits one day. I started to smell myself around 10 am, and I knew I was in trouble. I walked down the street and picked up Old Spice High Endurance Clear Gel Antiperspirant and Deodorant--Fresh!

Well, the deodorant did the job (and still does when I need it). I killed the stink. However, there's something about feeling that moisture being wiped under my arms that doesn't sit right with me. It's almost like the deodorant is protecting against wetness by being wet. Or maybe I'm just a bit silly. I mean, it does keep me from smelling, and I've only noticed the wet sensation the first few seconds after application.
