what’s on the disc
It varies from month to month, but it does separate this magazine and just about every other magazine. This is a really nice feature that actually makes this magazine worth subscribing to! There is everything from upcoming game: Demos, movies, xboxlive arcade game demos, and sometimes this disc can actually score some exclusive content. This demo disc really is the gem of the whole package and makes it worth it. Don’t get me wrong the magazine is of high quality, but the disc seals the deal!


Magazine layout
The magazine opens up with what is all actually on the xbox360 demo disc included with the magazine. Then it goes onto the letters and responses. Some of the letters like all other magazines are a mixed bag some are good while others are weak. It then proceeds to unfold into the xbox next segment which highlights the upcoming games to hit the 360. It is actually a very nice layout and informative. Xbox magazine then heads to a Feature segment which usually means an exclusive review and an electronics buyer guide. Then hits the Xbox now segment which, is reviews on the more recent xbox360 and xboxlive arcade games get reviewed.

The magazine layout is nothing special, but works. There is only so much a magazine can do this. This interface of the magazine is just fine.

Previews
Again this section all determines on how busy the upcoming months are going to be with game releases. If E3 has just happened this section is going to be plum full of previews, but if the months are slow you will only find an average number of games previewed for upcoming releases. Generally the previews are done very thoroughly and gives you all the juicy details you are dying to find out. It all depends on how long the game has been in development on how many details are ready to be revealed.

The previews are done very nicely and with quality in mind. They generally answer all the questions a gamer may have about the game being previewed.

Reviews
This segment all depends on recent releases. If the month is slow in the gaming world, this segment is shorter then when the gaming world is booming. Take for instance, usually during the holidays when companies are rushing their games to the market, this section is chalk full of reviews. However, usually in the Winter/Spring time it usually slows down a bit. The reviews are done very nicely. While I don’t agree with some reviews, you will never find a magazine that you always agree with all of the reviews.

The reviews are on a scale of 0.0-10.0. This makes ½ point increments possible such as: 7.5 or 9.5.

Overall
If you have an xbox360 and want the news outside of the internet this is the magazine to get. The demo disc is a great addition, especially when it secures exclusive content. You will not be disappointed with a subscription to this magazine. I think you will be blown away by the professionalism of this magazine. I renew mine every time it comes up. I need to stay current you know! The price is excellent for only 25.00 a year and sometimes with special promotions you can get it cheaper then that. This is an excellent magazine that I recommend all 360 gamers consider!
