Oedipus Rex: an excellent view into an important culture and into our own

Pros: An excellent look into man's heart and into his hidden desires

Cons: It helps to be interested in philosophy, psychology or Greek mythology

The Bottom Line: Fate, parricide, incest, power - this Greek tragedy bypasses the limits of time and can be understood and enjoyed by anyone from any time period. It's the perfect murder mystery.
