The Bottom Line: Don't buy it; it's a waste of your money because it causes damage to your discs.
Review: I respect and love Memorex electronic items such as their lovely line of KARAOKE machines, but I don't recommend Memorex OptiFix Pro Cleaning/Repair Kit.

The Bottom Line: Barely better than my manual method, but requires multiple passes to acheive useful results
Review: I buy most of my disks from secondhand shops because the cost of new ones is so out of line. I bought this hoping to touch up some of my more scratched up CD's and DVD's better than the way I have been doing it.

Doesn't clean, doesn't fix. Avoid.

The Bottom Line: Avoid it.  Use Vaseline!
Review: Simply, it doesn't work. It is supposed to repair superficial scratches and clean disks, and it doesn't do either.

It is a CD Walkman-sized device. You put in either the cleaning pads or the repair pads, put a few drops of cleaning solution...

Great for Unusable Discs

The Bottom Line: Not for light scratch repair. Will not repair in one run. WILL eventually fix a destroyed disc. Can save hundreds of dollars in ruined media - DEFINITELY WORTH IT.
Review: I actually have to disagree with all the other reviews. I had great success with this product. Although it created many VERY minute scratches (more like "buff marks"), it did a great job with large media debilitating scratches.
