Numark DVD01

I am writing to express my disappointment with the Numark DVD01 dual digital video player

The unit, quite frankly, will not work in a ‘club environment’ with the demands required by a DJ or VJ using videos during their performance. The difficultly involves the ‘access’ of video tracks that the operator selects for playback. When a disc is loaded in the unit, you have to manually push the ‘track select’ button from the beginning video to the one you want to play. This process goes very slow while the unit ‘loads track after track’ as you cycle through to the one you want. We use the Promo Only video discs which contain up to 40 selections… there simply is not enough time, while a video is playing, to get the next video cued up.

I e-mailed the support staff at Numark and they told me that they realize this is a draw back, but there is not currently a quicker way to load up a selection with this unit.

If the people at Numark had done any ‘field testing’ with this product (with club jocks that use video), they would have discovered this major flaw!
