Hard to Clean

My husband and I were having difficulty getting our daughter to switch from bottles to sippy cups. We had tried many different types that we had received previously from baby showers. None of them seemed to work so I went to the store to scope out some more options. I found these and was excited because they were cheap on a budget. I bought many with the handles and some without for future use. I liked that the mouth piece was soft. I thought it would make it an easier transition from bottle to cup. My daughter started to experiment with them much better than the cups with hard mouth pieces. Unfortunately she was not able to get anything to come out of the cup when attempting to drink. I tried it myself and it requires quite a lot of sucking power to get a drink. Too much suction for a little one. Washing the cups was even worse. When tightening the lids for the cups with handles the mouth piece always rotates and never lines up right. You can put them in the top rack of the dishwasher but since there is no valve to take out the mouth piece never gets fully clean. Milk and sometimes even juice will mold or chunk up in it and you can never get it out. We have gotten rid of all the cups with handles. I kept the ones without the handles to use with only water. We use them outdoors and when going some public places because since they are so cheap it is almost like they are disposable sippy cups.
