Shaves well, but looses charge

I bought a Norelco 9170XLCC a few weeks ago to replace a 2-year old top-of-the line Braun. The Norelco shaves well, not quite as well as the Braun, but I'm still in the adjustment period. However, the shaver loses it charge at random. This has happend while sitting on the counter, while in the cleaner, and during use. 3 times it has instantly gone from 50+ minutes remaining to zero and one time it has gone from 78 minutes remaining to zero. When this happens, the shaver must be charged for several minutes before it will even work plugged in. This makes the item worthless for some of my travel situations. Needless to say, I'm returning the shaver.
