Closeness & Speed fills my daily need !!!

I received this electric shaver as an end of year holiday gift on 25 November 2006. I have been quite pleased with the shaves that I get from it. My shaves are 90 to 95% as close as I would get with a blade with none of the irritation and skin abrasion that accompanies blade shaving. Additionally, my shaving time has been cut by 75%. As stated in the owners manual, it did take my face approximately three weeks to adjust - - - so if you have just acquired yours, be patient. You will see a noticeable improvement after about a month or so. This unit has made my mornings so much easier to get through by eliminating my biggest personal Pain in the A## . . .

The build quality of mine is excellent overall. It has been charged only once since the initial charge. I am currently obtaining 100 minutes (timed) out of the battery before needing to recharge. Cleanup is a breeze! It only takes a few seconds to rinse out the hair chamber and blades under hot water - - - then just let the thing air dry. Marvelous!!

What made this such a great deal was that the local Wal - - - er, Megalo Mart was selling the 9160XLCC system with the Jet Cleaning/Charging stand for less than the advertised Amazon price of the 9160 alone. I use the cleaning function about twice a week, and just rinse out the shaver on the other days.

I have used many different brands of electric shavers over the years (Norelco, Braun, Panasonic, Remington, Grundig, Wahl) and this one beats every electric that I have ever owned by far. Most Highly Recommended!

As time goes on, I will update this review - - - should any longevity or repair issues arise.
