Compact, color, tri-band GSM phone
Pros:
Small, bright screen, looks cool and professional, lots of memory to sync with MS Outlook
Cons:
No recurring alarm, not that well supported in the US (yet), no bluetooth, not cheap
The Bottom Line:
Great business phone, it works very well and does not look like a toy - like the 7210 or 3560?

The new Nokia 6100 is a great phone, as a basic phone it performs very well with good voice quality and signal strength. The color screen is clear and easy to read, the phone uses typical Nokia, reasonably intuitive menu's with some very pretty graphics/ animated icons. I bought this phone because I was looking for a small triband phone, the 6130i was also a contender, but I ruled it out because of its size. The baterly life on the 6100 is definately not as good as the 6310i but it does last we two full days of moderate use.
To date I have not managed to get the multimedia messageing to work, but this is probably a network setup issue and I have not spend too much time figureing this out. T-Mobile in the US do not support the phone (yet) and some of the T-Zones functions do not work.
GPRS connection to the built in WAP browser works well, as does GPRS modem connection via IR to a laptop.
When sending text messages the predictive text system is typical Nokia, but the phone does seem to "creak" a bit. The phone also comes with a ear peice that wraps around your ear - its much more comfortable than the in ear type and it performs very well.
