2006 Nissan Pathfinder SE

by   oscarg99 ,  Oct 20, 2006
Pros: Looks, drive, spacious cargo room view of the road.
Cons: Mpg, third row seat only for kids no pullout cover for cargo
The Bottom Line: The PF is a great car not to big for city parking or driving Feels very powerful and safe.
Review: We (wife and me) decided on the se model because we liked the aluminum trim as opposed to the wood on the le and the rubberized floor in the cargo area. We also liked that it was 3k cheaper. We got the - Leather package witch has heated leather ...

Absolutely the best SUV I have owned thus far

by   elmelautumn ,  Feb 20, 2008
Pros: Third seat Bose Radio
Cons: Bad radio reception
The Bottom Line: I would recommend the Pathfinder to anyone looking for an SUV. I have owned several and it wins hands down.
Review: We bought a boat last year, so of course we had to have a nice SUV to pull it with. I test drove virtually every SUV in our area under $40,000. I finally narrowed my choices down to the 4runner and the Pathfinder. I chose the Pathfinder for several ...

Best S.U.V ever!!

by   k227006 ,  Feb 21, 2007
Pros: the way the SUV looks, the way it drives, the stereo, and the air-conditioner!
Cons: gas mileage(although it isn't bad for an SUV)
The Bottom Line: Buy a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder!
Review: I bought a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder last summer without even driving it!! Its sporty yet classy look won me over. I was taken over by the fact that it'd be perfect to take on a family trip because it was spacious with three rows of seating, and had the ...

2006 Nissan Pathfinder

by   eracsucks ,  Nov 14, 2005
Pros: Excellent ride, Comfortable, affordable
Cons: Back seating arrangment is a little tight due to 3rd row
Review: I just leased a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder LE and I am very impressed with the way it handles. Very smooth ride and do not let the size fool you. The overall size is slighty wider than the 2002 - 2004 Pathfinders. The interior appears larger simply ...

I Found a Path, but should it be Taken?

by   tch7 ,  Sep 23, 2006
Pros: Price, good styling, acceptable performance
Cons: Could use more refinement
The Bottom Line: A decent choice of vehicle, but I'd rather spend a bit more for a more refined 4Runner.
Review: With the lease on my 2003 4Runner coming to an end in a few months, the ponderings of what to do has been lurking in the back of my mind. With roughly 140 000 kilometers on it, it’s hard to know what to do. Should I keep it? Buy something new? Sell ...

A Winning Combination of Size & Functionality

by   mike_d_pgh ,  Jul 3, 2006
Pros: Third Row Seat, Great Styling, Good Power, Just the Right Size
Cons: Price Can Creep Up Quickly When You Start Loading on the Options
The Bottom Line: I'd recommend the Pathfinder to any active family who is looking for a mix of comfort, utility & driveability.
Review: I was looking for an SUV with a combination of quite a few things....room for 7, manageable overall size, power, a comfortable relatively luxurious interior, good towing capacity, a smooth, quiet ride, and style. My search ended at the Nissan ...

SE 4x4 w/Convenience & Premium Groups

by   imalanman ,  May 23, 2006
Pros: Sound system. 2nd & 3rd row seats/cargo flexibility. Smooth transmission. Value for the money.
Cons: Gas Mileage. Fit/finish in areas. Availability of options.
The Bottom Line: You gain/lose option features on new SE 4x4 model. Still good value for the money. Comfortable family vehicle/hauler. Nissan better work on gas mileage or they will lose customers.
Review: I just came out of a lease on a 2003 Pathfinder and now moved into the restyled 2006 model. Even though I am fairly happy with the new model there are things about it I don't like. I feel the windshield mounted rearview mirror is mounted too ...

A face only a mother could love.

by   pick2 ,  May 30, 2007
Pros: Power, Handling, Comfort, Equipment, Build Quality, Price
Cons: Frontier pickup similarity. Suspension could be improved.
The Bottom Line: Best mid-sized SUV (for me). If you are considering one, do understand that it is a truck, and how that impacts comfort, handling and overall capabilities.
Review: As much as I liked my '01 Isuzu Trooper, it was getting a little long in the tooth. I really didn't want to buy a new vehicle, but the botched body work by my local 'ZU dealer to replace the entire roof (due to rust developing around the sunroof opening) ...

11K Update, Borderline Satisfied

by   rangers869 ,  Jan 7, 2006
Pros: Looks, acceleration, and foldable front passenger seat (works in cloth only)
Cons: Minor mechanical, HVAC controls, Poor Bose sound, Nasty Bump-steer response.
Review: 11K UPDATE. Overall she's a tad shy in quality compared to my 81 Toyota & my 99 Explorer. I have this "clink" noise that welcomes me every morning and evening after the first 50 feet. Luckily it only happens after the car is started. The Bose Stereo ...

Squeaky brakes

by   sparks826 ,  Feb 20, 2006
Pros: Style, handling, power, fold-down 3rd row seat
Cons: Squeaky brakes, Bose system
Review: The style and handling of the Pathfinder is very attractive, as well as the fold-down 3rd row seats. I had never owned a SUV before, so my expectations were quite high. However, I was very disappointed that after 5 trips to the dealer, they cannot seem ...
