2006 Murano - manufacturers have thought of everything

Love it, love it, and love it. I purchased SL AWD with touring pkg and drove 1000 miles in first two weeks at 25 MPG - premium gas. Absolutely the best car I have driven so far. X3 suck because of gas mileage, FX rear wheel drive is extremely uncomfortable all around and RDX is a cheesy looking god knows what. Murano by far beats all of them, in looks, in mileage and in price. Even the insurance is cheap. CVT is like developing taste of old wine. Once you get used to it, you won't drive anything else. Initially when Murano is new (less than 1000 miles) the CVT is bit stiff and while slowing down, it shifts too fast into first gear, but that smoothes out when gears are primed. Seats are soooo comfy and it gives you feeling of being in total control - unlike those giant SUVs. The 2006 Murano has been refined and is better that its predessors. Intelligent key fob hides a real key so when battery is down, you can eject the key from the fob and open the doors. Backup camera works best in dry weather. Dew or water on the lens may distort the video a bit. Bose sound system is better than infinity in that it produces same audio quality with far too few speakers. Subwoofer is hidden right above the spare tire. Vehicle information system with 7 inch monitor jhas everything you would want to know about your Murano and it even prompts you when Oil changes are due.
