I'd love it more, if it didn't burn oil.
Pros:
Great value Powerful Spacious
Cons:
If unlucky, can be an oil burner Some interior and exterior pieces cheap looking Horrible turning radius
The Bottom Line:
Honestly, if it wasn't for the oil burning, I'd most likely buy another because of the value, space, looks and power. However with Nissan ignoring me, I'll be looking elsewhere.

Author's Review
I bought the Maxima new in Sept of '04 with 15 miles on it. It actually cost me less than my wife's Altima 3.5 SE. It was a great value. It does have an amazingly powerful engine. The interior is comfortable and spacious. I now have 92K on the odometer. Over the years I've had issues, which will lead me to other manufacturer's showrooms prior to buying another Nissan. Rotors warp easy, tires need balancing on a regular basis, alternator went, 3 "chrome" grills peeled (won't replace again) These things I could handle as most were covered under warranty. Then there's that really really lousy turning radius. Folks before you buy it, try it in a parking lot. You will be amazed how little those front wheels turn.....But none of that really matters, it would still be a wonderful car if it weren't for the fact that it burns oil. Now before you say I didn't break the engine in correctly, let it run out of oil or didn't change it, abused it etc....I didn't. I'm a 50 year adult who drove the car normally and maintained it well. At 60K I noticed I lost a quart of oil between a 3K mile oil change. Currently I'm burning a quart every 750 miles. What did Nissan say when I brought it back at 60K????, "Sorry out of warranty." Don't take my word, just "Google" the phrase "Maxima oil consumption" and you will see I'm not the only one out there with the problem. Folks with the VQ3500 engine (including Infinitys) have the problem also. It appears that not everyone has the problem, I happen to be one of the "lucky" ones.....take your chances. It is a great car if it didn't burn oil.
