Pros:
Ride quality, continuously variable transmission, comfort, power, gas mileage, maintenance free.
Cons:
Problems with Bose stereo deck, expensive / odd sized tires, cheap plastic interior.
The Bottom Line:
Great Suv... would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great all around urban sport utility.

Wow... this thing has been great. We bought our loaded blue 2003 Murano in January of 2004. After 2 years of ownership, we have not had much bad to say about this vehicle.
We got leather seats, power everything, sunroof, etc. We take a lot of road trips and this thing has been great. The cabin is quiet, the heated leather seats are very comfortable, the dual zone climate control works well, the suspension offers a nice ride without being "squishy", the stereo sounds great, the engine has plenty of grunt, and the gas mileage is very good.
The handling is pretty responsive for an SUV and the part time all-wheel drive has operated nicely when we've been on icy / snowy roads. This is our road trip, kid hauler, urban SUV... so we have never had it off road and don't plan on it. That's what my truck is for (see my review on our 2003 Doge Ram 1500).
One of our favorite features is the continuously variable transmission (CVT). It makes the ride so much nicer when there is no shifting going on, and from what I understand, the CVT contributes greatly to the gas mileage.
The only problem we have had is with the stereo. The Bose 6 disc in dash CD changer has been a major pain. We are on our third deck. Each one of the first 2 developed chronic CD skipping problems after only a few months of use. If this 3rd one goes bad on us, we are just going to replace it with another brand. The Bose speaker system sounds stellar though.
Overall, we are extremely pleased with this vehicle. Having owned an Isuzu Rodeo, Isuzu Trooper, and Ford Explorer, this is the best SUV my wife and I have had so far. This vehicle is actually my wife's daily driver. It rounds off our vehicle list quite nicely - it's great around town and when all four of our family are going somewhere. The pickup is my daily driver and is good for hauling, towing, and camping trips. Our sports car (Lotus Elise) is our toy and we have a review here for that vehicle as well.
The Murano is a great SUV. It is stylish and looks unique, rides well, and has performed great for us so far.
