Still Truckin!

Pros: Reliable, great gas mileage

Cons: My husband says the breaks wear out fast (but he really drives like a maniac)

The Bottom Line: I would recommend this car if you are looking for a good used car.

My 1999 Nissan Altima was the first car I ever bought by myself, and let me tell you that I couldn't be happier. She is six years old now and has (gulp) 94,000 miles on her. The only problem she has is that every now and then the air conditioner takes a few minutes to kick on. When I brought her into the dealership of course it worked fine, and they couldn't find anything wrong with it. My extended warranty expires in May of this year so I suspect that in June I will have to deal with this problem.
Oh yes, also the drivers side visor falls off sometimes and was quoted $200 to get a new one.
I've had no mechanical problems. In fact, our family drove her on vacation last year. The day we got back the battery died. Isn't that considerate, she waited until we got back before dying on us?
We just got a new set of tires and put a bra on her and she looks brand new!
If you are looking for a reliable used car, please consider the altima. Find one that has been taken care of and you should have no problems!
I drove from Baton Rouge to Houston last weekend and got 29 miles per gallon. Not bad!
