More bang for your buck than ANY other sports car!

by   MattCA ,  Apr 23, 2000
Pros: Performance, handling, value, styling, reliability, easy to modify
Cons: um... none? :-) (Ok, it's not a terribly practical car...)
Review: I truly believe this statement. The Nissan 300ZX really does provide the enthusiast with (by far) the most bang for your buck in a genuine sports/GT car.

Before I continue, allow me to present my credentials: I am a freelance automotive...

Another 300ZX review

by   nychudson ,  Jan 23, 2005
Pros: Looks great, handles great, very reliable, still gets tons of compliments
Cons: Balky second gear in cold weather, transmission can be noisy, maintenance isn't cheap
The Bottom Line: If you can find a nice example, one of the used car market's best buys
Review: Well, here we go. I'm about to write a review on a car that is now as old as Moses, and has probably been given more criticism and applause than bible scholars ever thought about giving the old man from B.C. Even so, as the 300zx continues to ...

Rolling art!

by   z_man300 ,  Apr 13, 2002
Pros: Style, performance, comfort.
Cons: Maintenance costs.
The Bottom Line: The most refined and trouble-free of the 2nd-generation 300ZXs.
Review: When Nissan designed the second-generation 300ZX, they created nothing less than automotive art. The 1996 model is the final iteration; consequently, it's the most trouble-free and refined. I bought my Z new in 1996; it is my third 2nd-generation...

Nicest set of wheels known to man

by   shqiperia ,  Sep 5, 2000
Pros: Fast, Reliable
Cons: None
Review: It has been a thrill driving around in my 300ZX for the past 4 years, and I don't plan on stopping. This is a truly unbelievable car. It has abilities beyond any sports car of its classification. I really enjoy the 240 bhp it packs under the hood....

Married him for his Z...her view

by   jbay ,  Dec 12, 1999
Pros: Very Reliable, Attractive, Uncommon
Cons: Limited rear room
Review: The first time I saw my future husband's 300ZX, I fell in love (with the car!) I've been amazed, as time has passed, at how many people stare at
this 300ZX. It is a 1996, and has literally never been in the shop for repairs. I am very tall and...

Nissan 300ZX - One of the Best Sports Cars Made

by   CriTiC. ,  Jul 24, 2001
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Nothing!
The Bottom Line: Awesome car for anyone who loves to drive sports cars.
Review: My family owns a black/tan 1996 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo that I drive from time to time (Its primarily my husbands). This car has a turbocharged V6 engine and can move like no other sports car I have ever driven. It goes from 0 - 60 in 6.5 seconds and...

I love this Automobile!!!

by   neilsahgal ,  Jul 3, 2001
Pros: Looks Responsiveness/handling Cockpit-like guages Comfort A dang fun car to drive
Cons: I can't think of any, except that I MISS THE NAME DATSUN
The Bottom Line: All in all this is a great car, and I would buy another one in a second. You have to drive one of these cars to appreciate them.
Review: I have wanted a Z since the first one came off the line when I moved to California. I have watched the body styles change slightly over the last 30+ years and never fell out of love with my "Datsun". Had an '85 Maxima which was a mover and as close to a...

Not quite a Z car, but a great GT

by   300ex ,  Dec 30, 2000
Pros: sexy outside, roomy inside, fast, fun to shift
Cons: 2+2 configuration only available on N/A version
Review: Nissan should not have called the 300ZX a Z car, instead, it deserves the GT moniker, standing for "Grand Tourer". Z car's are light and underpowered, but this is not the case. The 300ZX is relatively heavy (like most of its competition), and...

Knowledge From Experience

by   mamsf1 ,  Mar 22, 2000
Pros: Beautiful Car
Cons: Costly To Repair
Review: I personally purchased a 300Z because I have always been in love with it's Body Design! Although this isn't considered very practical in the purchasing of a car but, If your in the market for a sports car you aren't very practical any ways!!!
