Pros:  Unique styling not found on the new 200SX's

Cons:  Older car, will most likely require some work.

Author's Review

I ended up with my Nissan after my 1984 Chevy s-10's engine blew up. Needless to say I wasn't to enthusiastic about getting into a car after enjoying having a truck for many yeaars. However, the unique styling and overall sporty appearance of the little red 200SX hatchback quickly caught my teenage eye. Ever since its purchase it has been a relatively dependable car, with the exception of some electrical problems.

The best thing about getting into this older model 200SX is that it is really inexpensive. Even in pristene condition with all the features, you most likley won't have to pay over $4,000 for it. I have seen some for under a thousand, but the average price for a good condition 200SX will probably be in the $2500-$3000 range. This is a nice looking car and runs well even with high miles. A very inexpensive vehicle for parents looking to satisfy a new teenage driver.

As an older model car, there of course are going to be problems. From what I have experienced with mine and what others have told me of there's, they are overall pretty reliable. I have put new tires on mine and a new muffler, but except for the electrical problem that only affects my lights and air conditioning it has worked really well for me.

If you want speed make sure you get a 6-cyl. or a 4-cyl. manual.
