Nintendo Wii

The Bottom Line: I would highly recommend buying the Wii. It is a great family console and is alot of fun to play.
What seems to attract people to the wii? Well obviously its how interactive the game system is, but it can be much more than that. The Wii, developed by Nintendo, uses a controler similar to a remote, which can be used to point, aim, swing, hit, etc. It is highly accurate and extremely reliable.
In my opinion the wii is flatout fun to play. It has such a wide variety of games that open you to so much interactive play it is almost impossible to get bored with. You can swing a tennis racket in a game of tennis on wii sports, pitch and bat in mlb 2k9, throw horseshoes in Game Party 2, or punch and jab while you box in Showtime Champions Boxing.
I have also always thought wii has some of the best games out to date. They have games like Resident Evil 4, Mario Kart Wii, Mad World, and Call of Duty: World At War. Some of the great game that you can only get on the wii (except for Call of Duty).
There are so many extra features that come with the wii, it just makes the gameplay even more realistic. You can buy the Wii Fit, a board that senses the shifting of your weight allowing you to do so many things like hullahoop, snowboard/skii, exercise, etc. If you had a gamecube the wii can play gamecube games and has a panel the opens up and has ports for gamecube controllers and memory cards. You can also buy Wii points with your money that are redeemable cards for your wii. You can use these wii points to buy applications and games that you can access on the wii home screen. You can buy things like internet, zelda, and tetris.
One of the things i dont like about the wii is the graphics are not very impressive. It does not have a good graphics card which limits it from being capable of playing certain game like Call of Duty 4 for example. Plus the picture just doesnt come out very clear all the time.
In the end, I think the Wii is a great console to have, especially as a family system. It is fun, interactive, and easy for anyone to use. It will keep you entertained for along time with its wide variety of games, for shooting games, to sports games, to cooking games, and many more.
