Nintendo Wii Fit - Video Games Get Healthy

The Bottom Line: This has been a hit with everyone in my family and encourages them to get fit while having fun like playing a video game.
Review: Over the years there have been many a gimmick to get people exercising. One need only flip the channels at three in the morning to see celebrities touting a variety of pieces of equipment designed to flatten tummies and build muscles.

The Bottom Line: As a package, it's not worth the hype it's been getting. The board is good, but the included game wears out its welcome, fast.
Review: The Wii Fit package needs to be split into the two items that it comes with, the Wii Balance Board, and the Wii Fit software. That being said, you should be able to see what is coming.

The Bottom Line: Great idea, about a dozen little quibbles. Pray for more games considering the price.
Review: The Wii balance board was the coolest thing I'd ever played with for about half an hour. It has a bunch of potential, but the Wii fit "game" isn't so much a game as a reason to get up off the couch.

Wii Fit: Nice light workouts, focused on balance control

The Bottom Line: Provides a good range of light exercises and games, mostly focusing on balance. Good supplement to Wii Sports (although boxing stinks in both games).

Great Motivational Workout

The Bottom Line: I highly recommend this game. It is very motivating for exercise even when you have company because you'll want to demonstrate for your friends and family. Definitely a good workout.
