Author's Review
Many reviewers hold this title to a high standard. Many critique it for its lack of graphics, awkward sword fighting scenes, lack of formidable story line and just poor overall quality. However, I feel that this game has fun gameplay and a great storyline. This game is a launch title, this is a fact that most seem to forget. Most launch titles, if not all, are seriously flawed. If you judge this game based on launch title standards it seems great. However, if you judge this game against, lets say, Halo or Halo 2 this game seems like a Sega Genesis game you can purchase on the used game rack at the store. Lets just face it this game is not perfect, but it is good. The sword fights are fun. Whats better than slashing your enemy with the Katana Guiri. Many weapons also add to the fun. One of my favorite features is the slow down mode in which you can stop time, if only for a second, to disarm or kill your enemies. My other favorite feature is the four player multi-player. This type of play brings back memories of the James Bond Goldeneye game on the N64. As for the graphics I did not expect H.D quality so I was not disappointed. The graphics are similar to the PS2 or XBOX, not the XBOX 360, but consumers should have expected that before purchasing the Wii.
