Not Out of this World but Far Out

This is the first time I have ever played any of the Metroid games so maybe I am just ignorant to the entertainment behind it. First up I have to say that it is a fun game. Anytime you get to play a game where you basically run and shoot it's gonna be fun. The problem is that there are many "puzzles" and "mazes" that come up during game play. I'm sure these are there for the extreme video-gamer, but for me I just want to play the game without all the annoyances of trying to figure out how I can get to the next level or complete the one I'm one.
If you liked the previous Metroid games then you should love this one as it is supposed to me more of the same with some enhancements. If you're not interested in trying to figure out how to continue the game once you get into it then you might just want to borrow this one instead of buying it.
If you are dead set on playing this game I would recommend that you spend the extra money and get the players guide that goes with it. It doesn't really help you like a walkthru would but most of the walkthrus I found on the internet were really lacking in help. This game can be fun, but only if you like the challenge or happen to have a players guide.
