Pros: touch screen, dual screens, dual processors, backwards compatibility for GBA
Cons: no backwards compatibility w/older Gameboy titles, lack of certainty, volume slider
The Bottom Line: Given that there is not much on the horizon, I would take a wait and see attitude towards it.
This reviewer does not recommend this product.
Review: This is the year for the next generation of handheld gaming systems. Nintendo's Gameboy line has had a stranglehold on this market since it launched its first Gameboy system. I have always been a fan of the Gameboy because it's sturdy (which is...

Pros: game library, display, comfortable to hold, durability
Cons: none really
The Bottom Line: Its the best handheld system so far for Nintendo!
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: When I first heard about the Nintendo DS I was excited. I was playing the Gameboy Advanced SP at the time. It sounded so cool that the Nintendo DS would have duel screens instead of one like the SP. I couldn't wait until it came out and I hoped I...

Pros: With its dual screens and built in features it's a very unique system.
Cons: The controls are not the most user friendly. Nintendo64 remakes are uninspired.
The Bottom Line: The DS is a great portable system with a few minor problems that may tic you off.

Review: NINTENDO DS (launch: November 16, 2004)
The Nintendo Dual Screen (or DS) was the all the rage in busy 2004 holiday season. This 200 dollar (that's Canadian) new age device not only looks pretty sleek and well designed here but what... |

Review: I grew up with my brother and the two of us would play regular "board" games. Remember those? I cried many tears over my Battleship loses. Eventually, we started playing video games (Atari, Nintendo, Playstation) ... and so began my fascination with...

Pros: Everything!! Graphics, sound, quality, looks, nice size screens, inovative idea!
Cons: A little expensive.
The Bottom Line: Without a doubt, great system. A little expensive but I feel that if you actually have a use for a portable system, it's worth the money.

Review: After one too many night shifts with little or nothing to do, I decided it would be well worth my money to invest in something to help pass the time.
My oldest brother had the original Game Boy (it was almost the size of a dictionary!)... |

Pros: Innovative, Great Game Library, Wireless MultiPlayer
Cons: Battery Life Could Be Better, Pricey
The Bottom Line: It's Innovative, It's Well Supported With Software, It's Wireless, It Should Be In Your Possession.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: When the Nintendo DS was released in Nov 2004 I have to admit I was confused. What would I do with two screens when I could barely handle one screen? I passed on it, writing it off as a Nintendo miscue that would be dead in a year, ala the Virtual...

Pros: Great game play experience when used with games that utilize the touch screen
Cons: Bigger than most previous Game Boys and the newer DS Lite
The Bottom Line: Great system overall, especially when it came out, but it is worth the extra money to get the newer DS Lite version to enjoy this system.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: This is a great improvement from the Game Boy Advance series of systems, although it seems kind of bulky, especially in comparison to the new DS Lites. It is nice that it has backlight screens, not to mention it has two screens for the games, which...
