!!! What a Camera !!!

by   starwarrior ,  Nov 5, 2006
Pros: No doubt about it; A Nikon professional quality camera with all the bells and whistles.
Cons: The price, a little intimidating but it intended for the pro or serious enthusiast.
The Bottom Line: Go for it, A true testament to a superior quality camera and lens combination. And it's a Nikon.
Review: I am an amateur photographer at best but when I take a serious picture I want to know that the results of my efforts are not determined by inferior equipment. If you want a digital SLR that has many of the same features as the Dx series digital without ...

D200 - Don't be Intimidated - This CAN Be Your First dSLR!

by   jhelms ,  Jul 2, 2008
Pros: Pro-level capabilities, and useful for a beginner after a few hours of use/reading the manual.
Cons: For a beginner who ONLY wants a simplistic point-and-shoot; this isn't the right camera.
The Bottom Line: I love this camera, I was a beginner when I started using it and have really developed a love for photography as well as an ability to produce excellent photos.
Review: That's right, don't be intimidated by the D200. Although it looks like there is too much to learn just a few uses will have you intuitively pushing buttons and switches like a pro. The D200 was my first SLR of any type, before that I was using a ...

Nikon D200 DSLR

by   cujet ,  Oct 24, 2008
Pros: Impressive picture quality, especially in RAW. Fast response, high overall performance.
Cons: Big and heavy.
The Bottom Line: I suggest this camera for advanced amatures. Photo quality is excellent in RAW.
Review: I purchased the D200 camera and lens combo last July 2007. I wanted to move up from the higher end point and shoot cameras to a real DSLR, with capabilities similar to my SLR film cameras. I am not a novice with SLR cameras, however this is my first ...

Fantastic Camera and Lens Combo

by   o2bupsidown ,  Aug 7, 2007
Pros: Continuous shutter without delay is amazing. Recently shot humpback whales breaching...spectacular!
Cons: Camera is heavy and bulky, but you know you are holding quality. Get a backpack
Review: I am a recent enthusiast and am LOVING my new toy. It took me about 1 month to start producing what I would consider professional quality photographs with my D200. I have used it since Christmas day 2006. Using the automatic settings alone will ...
