Review:
I bought the Nikon Coolpix 800 about a year ago. Since then it has spent most of it's time on my shelf.

There a couple of problems with it I see as rather major-

1) The Battery Life is way too short - you put 4 AA batteries...

Excellent camera with few shortcomings

The Bottom Line: Excellent overall, though now discontinued. If you need to take close up shots, this is the best option short of the 950/990/995 Nikons.
Review: Camera images are excellent, and it allows manual focusing, useful primarily in low light levels, when the automatic focus mechanism doesn't work as well due to the low contrast.
