NIKON Coolpix 2200 Digital Camera

Date of Review:  May 29, 2006
The Bottom Line: I love the Coolpix 2200. I think its perfect for a novice photographer.
Review: I still have problems regulating the thermostat in our home, I am minimally adept at dealing with my cell phone, minimally. I actually learned to scroll down to get a number, no small achievement for someone like me. I am an artist, I am not wired...

Great new camera

Date of Review:  Jul 23, 2004
The Bottom Line: Nice cheap good quality camera with lots of features and optical zoom
Review: I got this camera to replace my Kodak CX4200 which broke :( and so far it has been a good investment. I don't have any of the old battery-eating problems and hopefully it wont break. It looks far more advanced and durable than my old camera, and it...

A high quality point and shoot camera

Date of Review:  Apr 17, 2004
The Bottom Line: A high quality versatile point and shoot camera that is great for a lot of mid-range users
Review: For anyone mainly going to make small prints, put snapshots on the web or Email to friends and family, 2 megapixels is just right. I think 3 times optical zoom also falls into the same use category. The major camera manufacturers all have models...

Let's Get Digital

Date of Review:  Apr 22, 2004
The Bottom Line: Great camera for everyday snapshots. Small enough for a purse, superb grip for larger hands. Easy menu to follow>
Review: The 2200 is the replacement of the last year's 2100 model. At 2 megapixels, it is ideal for printing your standard 4"x6" and 5"x7" size photos. You can print any size you feel like, but anything larger won't have as much definition and sharpness. It...

Surprisingly good camera for the price

Date of Review:  Jul 26, 2004
The Bottom Line: The best camera I've ever had! It's very light and rugged and the pictures are very sharp and well exposed. Included features expand the possibilities.
Review: I was amazed how light and sturdy the camera felt at first. It's a bit bigger than the Canon Digital Elph I had before (but was stolen while I was on vacation) and it's a bit lighter. It fits easily in a coat pocket. The construction feels really...

Easy enough for a 5-year old, and nice

Date of Review:  Dec 31, 2005
The Bottom Line: I have tried many and owned several digital cameras, and I would replace this with the same or higher-end camera from the same line if I had to.
Review: I wanted to get a camera for my son's fifth birthday. Something he would have fun with and not be frustrated by. I went to many stores and tried many cameras, looking for a camera that 1) was so easy a five-year old could use it, 2) had a short...

Best camera for the price!

Date of Review:  May 27, 2005
Review: This camera just feels right! Open the box and put it to use right away. Operation and menus are intuitive, no need to study long manuals.

A lot of folks keep griping about not having manual override. Well, if you want the shot where it...

Great digital camera

Date of Review:  Oct 12, 2005
Review: Bought this camera about a year ago. It has some excellent scene settings. The zoom works well for most everyday shots. Red-eye reduction is particularly effective.
