Author's Review

We used the Auto mode to take various pictures including sunrise at beach and moon light. All turned up to be excellent picture quality.

We also used portrait and a few other modes and found them nice.

It's only $140 and add a 128MB flash card for $45 you can take 200 pictures w/o transfering to PC.

The pixel format we used most often are 1631x1224 and pictures have good detail with the JPEG file being around 800 KB.

The Nikon view software and USB cable transfers the image reasonably fast.

Compared to the Olympus D340 we paid $350 just a couple years ago, this one is so much better it's a truly good deal. We bought it from a New York City on line dealer using some shopping search engine.
